Come to The Big Barnes Ponder

Can one day shape the future of Barnes for the next ten years and beyond? That's what organisers of the Big Barnes Ponder are hoping. This one day event at the Old Sorting Office aims to get the people of Barnes thinking about their community and what will make it better.

The results of this planning day will enable the Barnes Town Team to get Council support for the initiatives that come out of the event and apply for other funding too.

Local businesses have given the day a great deal of support and everyone who attends the October 19 'Ponder' will be entered into a draw, with prizes including Lunch for Four at Sonny's Kitchen, Olympic Studios and Wetland Centre tickets, and magazine vouchers from Natsons. Londis will be providing a free lunch for participants and local author Andrew Wilson has also donated free copies of his Wild About Barnes books which will go to the first 50 attendees. To find out more about the Big Barnes Ponder click here.
