Barnes is a great place to visit and a wonderful place to live. It only takes 30 minutes to get from Barnes to central London, but it feels as though it's a leafy country village. It has good transport links, great shops and restaurants, some brilliant schools and offers lots of community activities. Life in Barnes has a friendly relaxed feel, and a walk by the Thames or a trip to feed the ducks on the village pond on a sunny day makes any Barnes resident, young or old, thankful to be living in such a beautiful village. It's a vibrant community and there is always lots going on. This website produced by the Barnes Community Association is for visitors and residents alike - we hope you find it useful.
